Zaraďuje sa medzi mestské hrady a všetkých návštevníkov zaujme množstvo zachovaných a vystavených exponátov. V jednotlivých expozíciách hradu si pozriete napríklad historické chladné a strelné zbrane, miestnosť venovanú kežmarskému streleckému spolku, hradnú kaplnku, nádhernú lekáreň a dokonca aj prvý röntgenový prístroj na Slovensku z konca 19. storočia. Súčasťou prehliadky je návšteva vyhliadkovej veže, s ktorou sa spája smutný príbeh hradnej pani Beaty Lasky.
